Our Approach to Verification and AML

Lemon Casino applies identity verification and anti-money-laundering procedures to keep accounts secure and transactions legitimate. This page explains what we ask of you, when we ask for it, and how checks can affect your account. These terms can be updated from time to time, so please read the current version on our site.

Identity Verification

Our General Terms require full identity verification (KYC) before your first withdrawal. Once we request documents, they must be provided within 60 days. Our AML policy asks for valid government-issued photo ID and evidence of your address that is no older than six months. In some cases we may also request additional verification, such as biometric or video checks, and checks relating to the source of your funds.

Information We May Request

Depending on the verification stage, we may ask for the following:

  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • Evidence of address no older than six months
  • Additional biometric or video verification where required
  • Documentation relating to source of funds or source of wealth

Source of Funds Checks

Our AML policy follows a risk-based approach to due diligence. A single or linked transaction reaching XCG 4,000 triggers a customer due diligence check, and checks can also take place earlier where there is suspicion or doubt about identity information. Where threshold-related due diligence is not completed within 30 days, transactions on the account can be suspended.

Enhanced Due Diligence

Enhanced checks apply in higher-risk situations. These include screening against politically exposed person (PEP) and sanctions lists, and verification of the source of funds and source of wealth. Where a case is assessed as suspicious, it may be reported to the Financial Intelligence Unit.

Account Restrictions and Timelines

Verification-related deadlines affect what your account can do. Documents requested under our General Terms must be provided within 60 days. Threshold-related due diligence that is not completed within 30 days can lead to transactions being suspended. Completing verification promptly helps avoid interruptions to withdrawals.

Payments and Account Ownership

You must be at least 18 years old, or older where a higher legal age applies in your location. Each player may hold one personal account, and the details on it must be truthful. Payment instruments used must be your own. Deposits carry a 1x turnover requirement before withdrawal, and opposing low-risk bets do not count towards that turnover.

Ongoing Monitoring

Our AML policy applies risk-based monitoring of transactions on an ongoing basis. Verification is not limited to a single check: we may request updated information where doubts arise about previously supplied identity details, and due diligence can be triggered by transaction activity at any time.
